DR. Natasha Janko
Dr Natasha Janko is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist experienced in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of gastroenterological conditions. Her interests include the investigation of iron deficiency anaemia, functional gastrointestinal disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease. She has specific expertise in treating liver disease, including NAFLD, and has also completed internationally recognised training in obesity management, through SCOPE. She is proficient in both gastroscopy and colonoscopy and has accreditation to perform these procedures at Cabrini and Epworth hospitals. Natasha completed her undergraduate medical training through the University of Melbourne graduating with Honours. She then went on to complete gastroenterology training at Eastern Health and The Alfred. She has recently completed a PhD through Monash University exploring the role of a new test to predict bleeding and other clinical outcomes in liver disease. Natasha holds a public appointment at The Alfred where she sees patients in gastroenterology and liver clinics, performs endoscopic procedures and mentors medical students and junior doctors. Natasha divides her time between public and private clinical practice and clinical research. She strives to provide compassionate, individualised, evidence-based health care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three young daughters.
